Industrial-grade MCM-41 is a mesoporous silica nanomaterial with a highly ordered hexagonal mesoporous structure. It belongs to artificially synthesized aluminosilicates or pure silica molecular sieves (typically a pure SiO₂ system). Its pore size is uniform and continuously distributed, with a typical pore diameter range of 2 - 10 nanometers (usually controllable to 2 - 5 nm or 5 - 10 nm), a specific surface area of up to 800 - 1200 m²/g, pore volume of 0.8 - 1.5 cm³/g, and an average pore diameter concentrated at 3 - 5 nm (within the mesoporous range). Its appearance is generally white powder or moldable particles (such as cylindrical or spherical shapes), featuring a high specific surface area, regular mesoporous channels, excellent thermal stability, and surface modifiability. It serves as a core carrier in the fields of nanoscale material separation, supported catalysis, and functional materials.
