TiO₂ anatase-type nano titanium dioxide is a tetragonal crystal system nanomaterial with typical particle sizes of 10–100 nanometers (adjustable to 5–50 nm). It features a high specific surface area (50–150 m²/g), high surface reactivity, and unique photocatalytic/optical properties. Unlike rutile-type (the stable crystal form), anatase is structurally stable below 600°C, but can easily transform into rutile at high temperatures. Its crystal structure consists of closely packed oxygen ions with titanium ions in octahedral coordination, and its surface contains a large number of unsaturated coordinated titanium atoms and oxygen vacancies, providing strong oxidizing power, excellent ultraviolet photocatalytic activity, and efficient UV shielding capability. It appears as a white to pale yellow fluffy powder (or uniformly dispersed solution), with high chemical stability (acid and alkali resistance), non-toxicity, and environmental friendliness. It is a core nanofunctional material in the fields of photocatalytic degradation, environmental purification, functional coatings, and antibacterial materials.
