Detailed

The rapid and reliable detection of nanoparticles and other analytes in complex biological and environmental media is of great significance for public health management and environmental protection, but there is still a lack of effective methods. This paper introduces the optical electron tweezer-assisted nanoparticle gripper (OET-NGP), which is a reconfigurable capture system capable of dynamically assembling metal nanoparticles to form light-programmable capture structures. This method not only achieves rapid analyte concentration but also forms highly uniform hotspots and improves the reproducibility of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), reaching the detection limit of rhodamine B as low as 4.43×10–8 meters. More importantly, the OET-NGP platform can perform in situ capture and SERS detection of nanoparticles in water solutions and serum at the μg/mL level. These results highlight the ability and great potential of the OET-NGP platform as a powerful sensing tool for efficient nanoparticle detection, and it has great potential in environmental monitoring and biosecurity assessment. This research was published in ACS Nano under the title "Light-Programmable Nanograspers for Rapid Nanoplastics Detection in Biological Fluids".
