Qu Xiaogang/Ren Jinsong Angew from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry: Biomimetic construction of MOF@COF nanozyme with pseudopod-like surface to inhibit bacteria

source:beike new material Views:4677time:2020-11-04 QQ Academic Group: 1092348845

Many MOFs have the function of mimicking enzymes, but due to their low catalytic activity, their catalysis and therapeutic effects are often unsatisfactory. Researcher Qu Xiaogang and Researcher Ren Jinsong, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, used inspiration from nature to design a MOF@COF nano-enzyme with high-efficiency peroxidase mimicking activity.

Key points of this article:

(1) The nanoenzyme takes the metal node of the MOF as the active center, and the COF structure that is subsequently grown will generate a multi-level nano-cavity to form a suitable pore environment near the active site, which can enrich and activate the substrate molecules, thereby enhancing Inhibition of bacteria.

(2) In addition, the pseudopod-like surface of COFs enables the system to effectively capture bacteria, thereby further enhancing the therapeutic efficiency of the nanoenzyme. In summary, this research can not only promote the development of new nanoenzymes, but also broaden the biological applications of MOF/COF-based hybrid materials.
