Multifunctional environmentally friendly thermal interface materials with bidirectional thermal conductivity have become excellent materials for solving the heat dissipation problems of electronic devices. The outstanding thermal and mechanical properties of graphene make it a very promising thermal management material. This study introduces an eco-friendly strategy by assembling and stacking recycled graphene strips (GS) under external mechanical force and using them as reinforcement materials for enhancing epoxy (EP) composites. Thus, an effective thermal conduction path is constructed. By adjusting the loading of GS, an outstanding vertical thermal conductivity of 104.6 W mK⁻¹ and a parallel thermal conductivity of 10.6 W mK⁻¹ were achieved, representing increases of 614 times and 61 times, respectively, compared with pure EP. Excellent bidirectional thermal conductivity, along with ultralow thermal resistance, strong electromagnetic interference shielding, efficient Joule heating, and superior mechanical properties, provides a promising approach to addressing the thermal management challenges of next-generation electronic devices.
