Preparation


MoS2 quantum dots are prepared by a lithium intercalation method. In the later stage of preparation, large-diameter molybdenum disulfide is removed by centrifugation. Quantum dots are the main component, and some nanosheets may remain. The quantum dots prepared by the intercalation method do not emit light, but because they have a large number of defects and specific surface area, they are ideal materials for electrochemical applications.
