As an alternative to natural enzymes, nanozymes have been widely used in research fields such as biosensing, bioimaging, drug loading and therapy due to their advantages of simple preparation, high chemical and thermal stability, strong catalytic activity, and easy functionalization. Molybdenum disulfide, as an emerging graphene-like 2D sheet material, has been shown to have excellent peroxidase-mimicking activity and can be used to replace biological enzymes for building biosensors.
