Introducing highly conductive manganese ions into Ti3C2Tx to prepare a high-performance electromagnetic shielding material. In this paper, the cation intercalation mechanism of Ti3C2Tx is discussed. Manganese ions tend to bond with the oxygen-containing terminal of the interface, combining with the orbital hybridization of Mn 3d and O 2p. Cation intercalation can expand the interlayer spacing and improve the conductivity of Ti3C2Tx. After introducing highly conductive manganese ions into Ti3C2Tx, the prepared MSCs exhibited excellent energy storage capacity and outstanding electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency
