Detailed
According to the World Health Organization, depression is expected to jump to the top of the disease burden by 2030, and the latest mental health survey in China shows that the lifetime prevalence of depression is 6.9%, and there are still more than 95 million people living with depression in China.
A drug delivery system based on BP nanosheets was designed and the antidepressant effect of BP nanosheets loaded with fluoxetine was studied. (Note: Fluoxetine is the most widely used antidepressant in clinical practice.)
1. The use of black phosphorus nanosheets in the treatment of mental illness depression;
2. Compared with free fluoxetine, black phosphorus nanosheets can improve the biocompatibility of this antidepressant;
3. Black phosphorus nanosheets can increase the permeability of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) under near-infrared radiation, so the drug delivery system based on black phosphorus nanosheets can improve the permeability of BBB;
4. The drug delivery system based on black phosphorus nanotablets can cooperate with photothermal/chemotherapy to treat depression, which can greatly shorten the treatment time.
