On August 17-19, 2019, the 8th China International Nanotechnology Conference (ChinaNANO 2019) was grandly opened in Beijing. As a platform for academic exchanges on the frontiers of international nanotechnology, the conference is also a competitive platform for nano-enterprises to showcase the world, show competitive strength, and develop emerging markets. It attracts more than 2,500 academicians engaged in nanotechnology research from more than 40 countries and regions around the world. Experts, young scholars and corporate elites participated in scientific exchanges. The meeting was hosted by Academician Zhao Yuliang, Director of the National Nanoscience Center. Chairman of ChinaNANO, Academician Bai Chunli, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ren Zhiwu, Deputy Secretary General of the National Development and Reform Commission of China attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively, proposing policy recommendations and hopes for the development of nanotechnology.
