Detailed

Recently, the team of Wu Zhongshuai, a researcher of the two-dimensional material and energy device research group of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to publish the title "Recent Advances and Promise of MXene" based Nanostructures for High-Performance Metal Ion Batteries).

Based on the previous research foundation, the team systematically reviewed the research progress and future development direction of MXene-based nanostructures in high-performance metal (lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, zinc, calcium) ion batteries. Summarizes that MXene materials can play three important roles in metal ion batteries as active electrode materials, conductive carriers and current collectors, and elaborate on MXene-based nano-active electrode materials with different dimensions (0, 1, and 2 dimensions) and their three types Composite models, including load type, coated type and sandwich type; highlight the advantages and disadvantages of different MXene composite materials used in different types of metal ion batteries and their structure-effect relationship, and emphasize the strong coupling composite interface construction of MXene and active materials And the inherent mechanism of synergistic coupling to enhance battery performance; briefly discussed the challenges and development opportunities faced by MXene-based nanostructures in high-performance metal ion battery applications, and proposed some solutions and future development directions.

In recent years, the research team has made a series of progress in the controllable preparation, structural design of two-dimensional materials MXene, and the construction of high-efficiency electrochemical energy storage devices: new strategies for oscillating alkalization, oxidation-alkaliization have been developed, and the controllable preparation MXene nanoribbons with excellent sodium or potassium storage properties (Nano Energy, 2017, 40, 1) and their derived sodium titanate or potassium titanate nanoribbons (ACS Nano, 2017, 11, 4792); derived from MXene Using sodium titanate as the negative electrode, a high-performance sodium ion mini supercapacitor (Adv. Sci., 2019, 6, 1902147) and a mini battery (Energy Environ. Sci., 2020, 13, 821) were developed; an innovative MXene base was constructed Integrated sulfur positive electrode (ACS Nano, 2018, 12, 2381); developed high-capacity dendrite-free three-dimensional MXene / metal lithium composite negative electrode (ACS Nano, 2019, 13, 14308); using MXene as negative electrode, developed hydrogen ions " Rocking chair "type supercapacitor (ACS Nano, 2019, 13, 6899); using MX liquid film with ionic liquid pre-insertion layer as the electrode, a high specific energy miniature supercapacitor (J. Mater. Chem. A, 2019, 7, 9478) .

The review was published in "Advanced Functional Materials". The above work was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program, the Liaoning Natural Science Foundation-Material Joint Fund, and the Clean Energy Innovation Institute Cooperation Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
