The research team used MXene loaded with gold nanoparticles as the anode unit and MXene loaded with copper-based MOF as the cathode unit, embedding them into a borate-crosslinked sodium alginate/polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel system. The anode mimics glucose oxidase activity to consume glucose, while the cathode mimics superoxide dismutase activity to eliminate reactive oxygen species. This creates an endogenous current between the two poles, allowing for microenvironment regulation, electro-assisted bone formation, and electro-stimulated antibacterial effects all at once, without any external power.

We focus on custom functional materials in the field of nanomedicine. We can develop biofunctional nanomaterials tailored to your experimental needs, controlling material structure, particle size, and surface modification, along with a full set of characterization tests. The plans can be repeatedly optimized, with full technical support to back research projects related to targeted delivery, bioimaging, and nanoscale diagnostics and therapy. You’re welcome to provide your requirements, and we’ll evaluate a custom plan.
